The DeKalb History Center is hosting their annual New Year’s Eve party on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, and it’s already gearing up to be a blowout. This is your chance to celebrate the holiday like you were meant to: partying!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and in honor of the holiday, Decatur will be hosting its annual Turkey Trot at Fairview Park Pavilion #1 on Saturday, November 19, 2016. This year’s event will feature a 10K run, 5K run and half-mile Turkey Tot Trot, catering to various age groups and runners throughout the Decatur community.

It’s time for the kids to dress up in their favorite superhero, princess or vampire costume, because on Friday, October 28, 2016, the Decatur Family YMCA will be hosting a special Halloween Party! Geared toward families, this exciting fall event will be a must-attend affair for kids in the Decatur area.

Scovill Zoo will be hosting a family campout open to the public from Sept. 23-24, 2016. The theme of this month’s sleepover is “Slow Movers” and will feature a wide array of activities for guests to take part in. With the fall weather just right, we encourage families from throughout the Decatur area to join this fun event and get ready to explore the great outdoors!
