Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and in honor of the holiday, Decatur will be hosting its annual Turkey Trot at Fairview Park Pavilion #1 on Saturday, November 19, 2016. This year’s event will feature a 10K run, 5K run and half-mile Turkey Tot Trot, catering to various age groups and runners throughout the Decatur community.

A premier event, the Turkey Trot is sure to draw in a number of participants this year. Held from 8-10 a.m., those interested in partaking in the event will have the chance to register on race day from 6:30-7:15 a.m. However, if you want to guarantee your spot and save five dollars on registration fees, we suggest you sign up now online. The 5K and 10K races are currently priced at $26, while the Turkey Tot Trot is $16.

As an added benefit, those who participate in the Turkey Trot are eligible to win awards in select age groups. Tot Trot racers will also receive participation prizes and a complimentary t-shirt.
