What's New For the 2020 Nissan Versa?
The elegant 2020 Nissan Versa retains many features present in earlier versions of this popular compact sedan. However, Nissan's design team significantly modified the exterior in order to give the new Versa a trendier appearance. Although the design team removed 6.00 inches of rear-seat legroom, the updated vehicle supplies the driver and front-seat passenger with an extra 2.7 inches
The Versa still offers a folding rear seat to provide additional cargo space. Drivers can now rely on Bluetooth with every Versa trim, enhancing the capability to communicate in the vehicle by phone. Nissan also supplies three available USB charging ports for mobile devices. Customers enjoy newly available options for changing the wheel styles on the SV and the SR trims, too.

Which Features are Available for 2020?
The latest model of the Versa retains the vehicle's three trim packages: the S, the SV, and the SR. A standard 7-inch touchscreen enables customers to control infotainment options (available Nissan connectivity software in the 2020 model offers compatibility with Android Auto and Apple Car Play apps). The S is an affordable selection for people seeking a fuel-efficient new sedan capable of transporting up to five people in comfort.
The SV offers some attractive standard features unavailable in the more economical S, such as heated outside mirrors. The SR trim supplies standard sport fabric interior seat coverings, a sexy rear "spoiler" (to create a more aerodynamic profile), and a standard remote starting system. For example, SR drivers enjoy the capability to begin warming up the Versa at a distance during brisk weather.
How does the Versa Engine Balance Power Needs and Fuel Economy?
Although Nissan retained the 2019 engine in the 2020 model, designers evidently made modifications to enhance efficiency. This vehicle offers a standard front-wheel drive. With an automatic transmission, the Versa reportedly achieves 32 miles per gallon on city roads and up to 40 miles per gallon on the open highway. Its 1.6 Liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine harnesses up to 122 horsepower.
Affordability and Packed with Safety Features Galore
Although it remains one of the most affordable and fuel-efficient sedans on the marketplace today, the Nissan Versa boasts some impressive standard and available safety technologies. This brand includes some built-in safety features, such as a strong frame designed to help maintain the integrity of the cabin, and multiple standard airbag systems and seat restraints. It offers a latch system to secure child safety seats, as well as rear door locks designed to help prevent children from exiting the car unattended.
Some advanced automotive driver alert technologies include standard automatic braking when the vehicle's sensors detect pedestrians. Nissan also offers an automatic rear braking system. The sedan warns the driver when the vehicle drifts out of the lane of traffic.
