Most car brands would be excited to have one model receive a Top Safety Pick Plus rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, so when we found out three Nissan models earned the coveted rating, we were ecstatic! The lucky models were none other than the 2017 Nissan Altima, Rogue and Maxima, which continue to offer new, innovative safety technologies each year.
All three Nissan models earned at least a “Good” rating in all five test categories, received an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating for front crash prevention and nabbed a “Good” or “Acceptable” rating for headlight performance in order to achieve the Top Safety Pick Plus designation.
