What's New for the 2020 Nissan Rogue?

Small crossover SUVs don't come any more solid than the 2020 Nissan Rogue. Equipped with ProPilot and a host of other intelligent features, your Rogue is designed to comfortably give you the basics or give you a fully decked out trim with appearance packages, premium audio, and state of the art technology.

Each Rogue comes standard with your traditional massive amount of cabin space and cargo space, a true blessing when you're thinking of buying a 5-seater small SUV. The Rogue's reputation as a nice "backup" option disappears in 2020, as Nissan gets with the times and adds elegant smart technology that improves driving performance. As Nissan calls it, it's "360 degrees of protection in a world of distraction." Safety isn't the only thing the elegant new 2020 Rogue has to offer, though.

2020 Rogue Trims & Features

Nissan keeps it simple with three efficient trims. The base model S features basics like your 170 horsepower engine, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and Intelligent Lane Intervention. Cloth or cloth bucket seats are available. Your next trim is the SV, a more luxurious version of the S, with everything you get on the S plus bold 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, motion-activated liftgate for convenience when packing your Rogue, and Remote Engine Start System.

If you want everything the Rogue has to offer, go with the SL, a Rogue with leather-appointed seats, standard ProPilot Assist, and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for a bolder look. A 9-speaker Bose Premium Audio system is also standard on the SL, and it's optional on other trims. Folks are going to appreciate other little flourishes, too, such as:

  • Intelligent All-Wheel Drive available on all trims
  •
  • LED Daytime Running Lights (S)
  •
  • Rear Automatic Braking (SV)
  •
  • Automatic Temperature Control in dual zones (SV)
  •
  • Door to Door Navigation with Premium Traffic (SL)

2020 Nissan Rogue Horsepower

2020 Nissan RogueNissan didn't tinker with engine configurations in 2020, and they've left you with one engine for all three trims. It's a 2.5" 4-cylinder engine good for 170 horsepower. Remember that the Rogue isn't for off-roading, nor is it a large SUV that's meant to tackle every urban jungle it rolls through. What you want is efficiency and pure performance, not sports-car level performance or a vehicle that can haul 10,000 pounds. The single-engine choice avoids confusion for buyers, and it's a fine companion for the Rogue.

Nissan Rogue Safety

2020 Nissan RogueProPilot Assist is already known as one of the world's only semi-automated driving systems, so you don't get a self-driving Rogue, but you get as close as you can come to it in 2020. With Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning, you're surrounded by that well-known Nissan Safety Shield that helps you drive with confidence every time you step into the Rogue. It's a truly stunning safety lineup in a year when so many small crossover SUVs forgot the safety part of this whole deal. Nissan didn't forget you!
