What's New For The 2019 Nissan Rogue?

Not much has changed in terms of style and appearance for the 2019 Nissan Rogue. However, there are even more standard amenities this year than in past model years. This means you can look forward to more technology and more safety features than the Rogue had in the past, and you will get these amenities for a better price, too. This year a feature called rear door alert is standard in all trim levels, and automatic rear braking is included as a standard amenity in the higher trims. Regardless of which trim level you get, you can add custom amenities to make it truly feel like yours. The 2018 Rogue was Nissan's best-selling SUV for its generous package of options, and the 2019 Rogue seems just as promising.

Available Trim Levels & Key Amenities

In 2019, there are three trim levels available in the Rogue. There is even a hybrid version available this year, too. The base model, which is called the S, is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The base model Rogue comes with a number of amenities, including LED running lights and standard driver-assist safety features including blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. This model has an infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Next up in the lineup is the SV. The SV builds on the base model's list of standard features with even more. This model rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. It comes with a push-button start, a remote engine start, and a hands-free, motion-activated tailgate to make loading and unloading cargo and supplies easier. This trim level also gets a dual-zone climate control. The top SL level has a more luxurious interior that is outfitted in leather seats. It also has a premium navigation system with real-time traffic alerts, which helps you get through challenging traffic jams with ease. There are more standard safety features on this trim level too, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intelligent cruise control, which uses radar assistance to help you maintain a safe following distance from the car ahead of you. A Bose premium sound system is available on this trim level, while all trims get Bluetooth and a three-month trial subscription for satellite radio. A seven-inch infotainment screen is standard in all trim levels.

A hybrid is available with an FWD and an AWD drive option. The SL and an SV trims are also available with the hybrid. Along with the standard amenities at each level, there are a variety of options for additional accessories, too.

An Impressive Engine, Built to Conquer

2019 Nissan RogueThe Rogue has the same engine on all trim levels except for the hybrid. This engine is a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine that produces up to 170 HP and 175 LB-FT of torque. In addition to the hybrid engine being more fuel efficient, it is also just a tad more powerful with a total of 176 HP.

Standard Safety Gear That Is Hard to Beat

2019 Nissan RogueOne notable change for the Rogue in 2019 is that Nissan's safety package, called the ProPilot Assist, is now an option on more trim levels. This package includes lane-centering technology, which helps steer the car around corners, and a rear door alert that lets you know if there is motion in the backseat of the car when you're getting out. Other safety features on this year's Rogue include automatic braking and lane departure warning. Front, side, and roof-mounted airbags are other notable safety amenities that you will find in the 2019 Rogue.
