Scovill Zoo will be hosting a family campout open to the public from Sept. 23-24, 2016. The theme of this month’s sleepover is “Slow Movers” and will feature a wide array of activities for guests to take part in. With the fall weather just right, we encourage families from throughout the Decatur area to join this fun event and get ready to explore the great outdoors!

There’s nothing quite like camping out under the stars and it’s even better when you get to do it with your loved ones beside you! At Scovill Zoo’s upcoming family campout, Decatur residents will have the opportunity to do just that, in addition to participating in several outdoor activities. During their overnight stay at the zoo, guests will be treated to evening and morning meals, an inclusive tour, and also have the chance to encounter some of the zoo’s most prominent animals. All you’re required to bring is your tent and sleeping bag, they’ll take care of the rest!

To take part in the family campout, you must sign up ahead of time. Registration is $25 per person or $100 for a family. Contact the Scovill Zoo at 217-421-7435 for additional information. The campout is limited to 50 people, so please be sure to make arrangements as soon as possible!
