Nissan just made the biggest college sports sponsorship in history when signing up to become the official financial backer of 100 college and university teams across the nation. Launching in conjunction with this is Nissan’s new Diehard Fan App, which takes an age-old ritual and throws it into the technology era using augmented reality.

Looking at the pics about, it’s tough to tell that the featured game faces are digitally “painted” on. If you go to diehardfan.com, you too can download your favorite selfies and videos, then choose from thousands of game faces to digitally paint on your media. The faces represent nearly all of the 100 collegiate teams that Nissan now sponsors and they were created using human models by a world-champion face painter. Every face was carefully painted by hand and then digitally remastered, so that app users get a game face with a truly natural look, whether using a still image or a moving video.

The Diehard Fan App is free to download and is available for both iPhone and Android owners. Try it out now to get your game face on!
