In 2020, the Nissan Murano does not get drastic changes. Its exterior and interior still look mostly the same as before. This year, however, the Murano comes with more standard safety technology on select trims. This includes more safety amenities on the SV and higher trim levels. These same safety features are available on the Murano S for the first time, too. Along with these new updates, the Nissan Murano still has its distinctive exterior design and a cabin adorned with high-quality materials at all trim levels.
The Murano's noticeable exterior appearance makes it stand out from the crowd and gives it a top fuel economy among its peers. The rear seat has plenty of space, and the front seats are large and comfortable. The Murano also features an innovative automatic transmission that provides optimal power and performance. Across the trim lineup, the Murano features a suite of user-friendly materials and plenty of standard technology.
The 2020 Nissan Murano has a family of four. The base trim is the S. Its standout features include 18-inch aluminum wheels and prominent LED headlights with an automatic on-off function that improves your safety and visibility in low-light conditions. Chrome door handles give the S a polished look, while power-operated side mirrors with LED turn signals add style and functionality. This Murano also comes equipped with plenty of safety features and technology.
The S features a manually-adjustable driver's seat that moves in six ways. It has a large eight-inch infotainment display screen that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You'll get two USB charging ports in this trim, too, including one in the front and one in back. Standard safety technology includes automatic emergency braking.
The SV is the next Murano trim. It comes with more standard safety equipment, including Nissan's Safety Shield 360 and adaptive cruise control. The exterior is accented with black roof rails. Inside, its cabin gets power-adjustable seats in the front and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for a more elegant finish.
The SL trim comes with even more standard features. You'll get larger wheels with this trim and leather seats in both rows. The seats are heated in the front row, too. Other additions include a heated steering wheel, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, ambient cabin lighting, and a hands-free liftgate. This trim gets premium silver roof rails for a stylish finish. The top Murano is the Platinum, which adds premium leather seating, ventilated front seats, and a dual-pane sunroof.
The same engine comes standard on all trims. It is a 3.5L with six cylinders that produce a maximum of 260 HP and 240 LB-FT of torque. This engine comes with an automatic transmission across the board. You have the option of getting either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive for all Murano trims.
The Nissan Murano comes well-equipped with safety features at the base level and adds more up the line. The base trim gets advanced dual-stage airbags, side-impact airbags, and knee airbags for the front occupants. Advanced safety features such as high-beam assist, cruise control, and lane intervention are included in the higher trim levels.
