Easter Sunday may not be until April 16, but the Scovill Zoo is welcoming all Decatur residents to jump into the festivities early by attending their 50th Anniversary Critter Egg Hunt. Free for all ages, the event will take place on Saturday, April 15, just one day before the big holiday!
There will be so much for families to see and do during this year’s Critter Egg Hunt. The event will kick off with a Scovill Zoo AAZK bake sale at 11 a.m., so if you’re in the mood for some tasty treats, you’re in luck! The festivities will continue on at 1:30 p.m. with live entertainment courtesy of DJ Tat, which will be followed up by the Critter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. Designed for kids up to age 10, the little ones will have a blast searching for colorful eggs spread across the grounds.
Additionally, over the course of the day kids will have the chance to win great prizes and enjoy 50 cent carousel and train rides. Reduced admission to the Children’s Museum of Illinois will also be available from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
