One of the city’s most popular annual events, Arts in Central Park returns for another year offering locals a chance to explore artwork from a large selection of vendors.
Whether you go to shop or simply to view the outdoor art gallery, you won’t be disappointed with the variety of art. There’s truly something new around every corner, as anyone who’s been to Arts in Central Park can tell you.
Roughly 80 artists will have their work on exhibit this year, with mediums including painting, fiber art, blown glass, sculpture, jewelry, pottery and much more. As usual, a jury will award winners in several categories, including Best in Show.
The family-friendly event also includes live music and activities for children, which are sponsored by Striglos Just for Kids. There will also be an art shop specifically for children located in the Madden Arts Center. Additionally, when you and your family get hungry, food will be available through onsite vendors or you can visit one of many local restaurants.
Arts in Central Park is a three-day event taking place the third weekend this month, from Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. The art fair is organized by Gallery 510 Arts Guild, Ltd. and the Decatur Area Arts Council. Click here for more information.
