Rock Springs Conservation Area is once again hosting the annual Fall Harvest Festival for 2015, in conjunction with its educationally spooky Creepers of the Earth guided tour.

The Fall Harvest Festival is fun for all ages and a great pre-Halloween celebration of the autumn season. Visitors can get lost in the children's straw maze or participate in activities like pumpkin rolling and archery. For a low $3 fee, the archery lessons will give you and your children the opportunity to put your skills to work shooting at 3D targets, while learning some basic techniques to improve your aim. Free fall-themed face painting is another treat for festival visitors.

Just show up to Rock Springs Nature Center on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, to take part in the fall celebration. The event takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and no registration is required to attend.

Anyone interested in checking out the coinciding Creepers of the Earth trail walk, however, must register online before Oct. 24, 2015. On this unique tour, costumed guides will lead you through the pine forest and tell stories about the area's many special creatures. It's only $2 to attend (free for children 6 and under) and only a limited number of spaces are available, so register sooner than later if you'd like to attend. Click here to sign up.
