Discover the Dinosaurs is an interactive exhibit that’ll engage both young and old. On display at the Decatur Civic Center Friday through Sunday, July 17 - 19, the exhibit will include moving replicas and fun activities like a scavenger hunt, dinosaur rides and face painting.
At the exhibit you and your kids will get to learn about prehistoric times as you walk through various dinosaur scenes from different periods of their existence. The scenes include animated models; realistic rocks, plants and backdrops; and awesome roaring dinosaur sounds, which will make you feel like you’ve traveled back to a time when dinosaurs thrived. Some of the mechanical dinosaurs can even be controlled by pushing buttons that make their heads, tails, arms and other parts move. In addition, static museum-quality replicas will also be featured and you can walk right up and touch them!
With Exhibit Only admission, visitors get to enjoy the Discover the Dinosaurs exhibit, Dino Theater, Dino Den, Dino Dig, Scavenger Hunt and Dino Coloring area. Choosing Exhibit Plus admission adds access to inflatables, mini golf and unlimited dinosaur rides! Otherwise, individual ride tickets will be on sale. For an additional charge, face painting and gem and fossil mining activities are also available.
