Do you love live music? And have you been looking for free and fun things to do this summer?
If so, don’t miss the Blues in Central Park finale! The free summer concert series culminates on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, with a live performance from Memphis-based band Southern Hospitality. The group is touring the U.S. and making a stop in Decatur to share their soulful blues tunes.
In addition to great live music, there will be BBQ, food and beer vendors onsite, so you can enjoy a delicious meal and spirits while taking in a free show. Vendors open at 6 p.m. and Southern Hospitality begins shortly after at 7 p.m. The band will be playing a three-hour set, so feel free to bring a lawn chair or blankets and hang out!
This is the 15th year in a row that Blues in Central Park has taken place. The event is presented by Decatur Magazine and it’s a highlight of summers here in central Illinois. If you would like to learn more about the event, please visit the official Blues in Central Park website.
