When news broke that royal baby number two was on the way, Nissan quickly sent out a Tweet recommending a family SUV to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In fact, Nissan replied just seven minutes after William and Kate announced that they were expecting a second child. Like most of you, we were wondering how they got a graphic ready so fast.
As it turns out, Nissan's head of social media in Europe had a creative agency put the image together when he heard gossip about the pregnancy a few months ago. However, the pregnancy was never confirmed, so he kept the image in his back pocket.
You may have noticed that the Tweet references #XTrail, a European version of the Nissan Rogue, which it shares the same platform with. When it comes to family friendly functionality, Rogue delivers with a convenient optional third row, class-exclusive Divide-N-Hide Cargo System, award-winning Around View Monitor camera system, and lots of other features that parents and kids can appreciate. X-Trail shares all of these same features, so we're sure it would also make a great family carrier - even for royalty!
It would be awesome to see William and Kate drive a family SUV from Nissan and we're certain they would be more than pleased with the superior comfort, efficiency and upscale looks provided by Nissan's vehicle lineup! Hopefully, they'll take the automaker's recommendation!
