If you're looking for something unique and fun to do with your family this April, check out one of these two events over Easter weekend. The world-renowned Circus Pages troop will soon bring their heart-pounding daredevil antics, magical acrobatics and exotic animals to the Civic Center, while the Scovill Zoo is getting ready to hold their annual Critter Egg Hunt, which will be followed with free entertainment.

Scovill Zoo Critter Egg Hunt & Children's Museum Show
April 19 at 1:30 p.m. | 71 S. Country Club Road, Decatur, IL 62521

This free event starts with a song and dance performance by the Park District arts staff and is then followed with a free egg hunt at 2 p.m. for children ages 10 and under. After the egg hunt, the Children's Museum, which is walking distance just down the street, will have  a concert in their front lawn at 2:30 p.m. Both the zoo and museum are offering free entry, though fees for the zoo's popular carousel and train tour still apply. Additionally, the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the first 150 families to visit will receive a special holiday gift.

Circus Pages puts on a spectacular performance every time they visit Decatur. An excellent show for families, the circus offers fun for kids and adults of all ages with fabulous aerial acts, rambunctious clowns,  juggling and insane stunts. Animals are also a big part of the show and Circus Pages brings along rare white lions and tigers, camels, elephants and acrobatic dogs, among other talented and exotic animals. Tickets are $15 per adult with free entry for two children 14 and under per every paid adult. Additional children are $2 each. Prices are subject to change.
