Some of the most talented professional female golfers in the industry will descend to Hickory Point Golf Club on June 16 to participate in the 33rd Annual Decatur Forsyth Classic. Noted as the longest running tournament on the LPGA Symetra Tour, the signature event will span three days and feature 144 players from around the world.

The Decatur Forsyth Classic has become a staple within the community over the years. Golf fans from all throughout Central Illinois make their way to Decatur each year to view today’s top female golfers compete for the chance to earn a spot on the LPGA Tour. This year, players will also be competing for a purse of $130,000. The top ten money winners will automatically join the LPGA Tour, while 25 additional players will have the opportunity to advance to the final round of the LPGA qualifying tournament.

As always, spectators will have free admission to the 54-hole stroke play professional tournament over the course of all three days. If you’re planning on attending select events, please be sure to view the official schedule online.

Past winners of the Decatur Forsyth Classic include two-time winner Tammie Green, Vicky Hurst and four-time Rolex LPGA Player of the Year Award winner Lorena Ochoa.
